Rowan Oak is a historic house museum located in Oxford, Mississippi, USA. It was the home of the renowned American author William Faulkner for over 40 years until his death in 1962. The Greek Revival-style house, built in 1844, is surrounded by 29 acres of wooded grounds and gardens. Faulkner conducted much of his writing in the home, and it has been preserved to reflect the period during which he lived there.
