The Royal Saltworks at Arc-et-Senans, located in Arc-et-Senans, France, is a remarkable example of industrial architecture and a significant historical site. Designed by the visionary architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux in the late 18th century, this UNESCO World Heritage site was conceived as a utopian factory town centered around the production of salt. The complex features a semi-circular layout with neoclassical buildings, including the Director's House, worker's dwellings, and various production facilities.
