The Saint-Michel tumulus in Carnac, France, is a Neolithic burial mound dating back to around 5000-3400 BCE. This impressive structure stands approximately 12 meters high and spans nearly 125 meters in length, making it one of the largest tumuli in Europe. Constructed primarily from earth and stone, the tumulus contains several burial chambers, which have yielded numerous archaeological finds, including pottery, axes, and beads. The site is not only a significant prehistoric monument but also offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape from its summit.
