Salzburg Cathedral, known as Salzburger Dom, is a prominent Baroque structure located in the heart of Salzburg, Austria. It is dedicated to Saint Rupert and Saint Vergilius and serves as the seat of the Archbishop of Salzburg. The cathedral's striking facade, crowned with twin towers, and its grand dome are prominent features of the city's skyline. Inside, visitors can admire the richly decorated nave, the intricate stucco work, and the impressive organ that Mozart himself once played. The history of the cathedral dates back to its original consecration in 774, though the current structure was completed in the 17th century after a fire destroyed the previous building.
