Santa María del Agua de Landa is a historical mission located in the Landa de Matamoros municipality in the state of Querétaro, Mexico. It is one of the five Franciscan missions in the Sierra Gorda region, which were established in the mid-18th century. These missions were built by indigenous labor under the guidance of Franciscan missionaries, including the notable friar Junípero Serra. Santa María del Agua de Landa stands out for its ornate Baroque facade, which features a rich array of religious iconography and indigenous motifs.
