Schwabentor, also known as the Swabian Gate, is one of the two remaining medieval gate towers in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. Built in the mid-13th century, it originally served as a fortification and gateway into the city. The gate is named after the Swabians, as it was located on the road leading to Swabia. Schwabentor features a distinctive tower with a steep roof and an iconic mural depicting a merchant and his wife, which has become a recognizable symbol of the city.
