Scola Tower, also known as Torre Scola or Torre di San Giovanni Battista, is a historic structure located in the Gulf of La Spezia, Italy. Built in the early 17th century by the Republic of Genoa, the tower served as a defensive fortification to protect the harbor and deter pirate attacks. Its strategic position allowed it to monitor and control naval traffic entering the gulf. The tower is characterized by its square base and robust stone construction, which has withstood centuries of weathering and conflict.
