Semuc Champey, located in the heart of Guatemala, is a natural monument renowned for its stunning turquoise pools and lush jungle surroundings. The name "Semuc Champey" means "where the river hides beneath the earth" in the indigenous Q'eqchi' language, aptly describing the unique geological formation where the Cahabón River flows beneath a natural limestone bridge. Above this bridge, a series of stepped, crystal-clear pools provide a tranquil, picturesque setting for swimming and relaxation.
