Formed over 5,000 years ago following a series of hydrovolcanic eruptions, it rises 182 meters above sea level and features a large crater at its summit. Renowned for its stunning sunrise views, Seongsan Ilchulbong is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The hike to the top is relatively short, taking about 20-30 minutes, and offers panoramic views of the surrounding sea and landscape.
