The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, located in the Malaysian state of Sabah on the island of Borneo, is a renowned sanctuary dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of orphaned and injured orangutans. Established in 1964, the center covers a vast area of protected rainforest and provides a safe haven where these endangered primates can learn essential survival skills in a natural environment.
