Sighișoara is a historic town in Mureș County, Romania, renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture. Founded by German craftsmen and merchants known as the Transylvanian Saxons, Sighișoara is one of the few fortified towns in Eastern Europe that is still inhabited. The town's most iconic landmark is the Clock Tower, which dates back to the 14th century and houses a history museum. Sighișoara is also famous for being the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, often associated with the Dracula legend.
