Sillustani is a pre-Incan archaeological site located in the Puno region of Peru, near the shores of Lake Umayo. This site is renowned for its chullpas, which are large, cylindrical funerary towers constructed by the Colla people, a group that was later conquered by the Inca. The chullpas were used to bury the elite members of their society, and some stand as high as 12 meters (40 feet). The architectural design of these towers is notable for its remarkable precision and the use of large, finely cut stones.
