Sivasagar Sivadol is a renowned temple complex located in the town of Sivasagar in the northeastern state of Assam, India. The complex consists of three primary temples—Sivadol, Vishnudol, and Devidol—dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Durga, respectively. The most prominent of these is Sivadol, which stands out with its towering height of about 104 feet, making it one of the tallest Shiva temples in India. Constructed in 1734 by Queen Ambika, the consort of King Sutanphaa of the Ahom dynasty, the temple showcases exquisite architectural and sculptural works characteristic of the Ahom style. The annual festival of Mahashivaratri is a major event here, attracting thousands of devotees and tourists.
