Skull Tower in Niš, Serbia, is a historical monument constructed by the Ottomans in 1809 following the Battle of Čegar during the First Serbian Uprising. The tower was built using the skulls of Serbian rebels as a grim warning to deter further insurrection. Initially, it contained 952 skulls embedded in its walls, although only 58 remain today.
