Sopoćani Monastery, located near Novi Pazar in Serbia, is a medieval Serbian Orthodox monastery founded in the 13th century by King Stefan Uroš I. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its exceptional frescoes, painted between 1265 and 1270, which are considered masterpieces of Byzantine art.
