Sosu Seowon is a historic Confucian academy located in Sunheung, South Korea. Established in 1543 during the Joseon Dynasty, it served as a center for Confucian learning and scholarly activities. The seowon was founded by Ju Se-bung, the magistrate of Sunheung, to honor the respected Confucian scholar An Hyang. Recognized for its historical and cultural significance, Sosu Seowon is a well-preserved example of a traditional Korean seowon, featuring beautiful architecture and serene natural surroundings.
