Split Rock Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota, USA. Completed in 1910, it was built by the United States Lighthouse Service to guide ships through the treacherous waters of the lake, which had seen numerous shipwrecks. The lighthouse is perched on a 130-foot cliff, offering stunning views of the lake and the surrounding area. Now decommissioned, Split Rock Lighthouse is a popular tourist destination and part of the Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.
