St Davids Cathedral is a historic and significant religious site located in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, Wales, United Kingdom. It is dedicated to Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, and has been a place of pilgrimage and worship for over 1,400 years. The cathedral stands on the site of an earlier monastery founded by Saint David in the 6th century. The current structure dates primarily from the 12th century, showcasing stunning examples of Norman architecture with later Gothic additions. Its unique location in a valley, partially hidden from view, was intended to protect it from Viking raids.
