The museum is set in the grounds of St Fagans Castle, a late 16th-century manor house. It showcases the historical lifestyle, culture, and architecture of Wales through over 40 original buildings that have been re-erected on the site. These include farmhouses, a school, a chapel, and several workshops, depicting Welsh life from various historical periods.
