Stone Mountain is a large quartz monzonite dome monadnock located in Stone Mountain, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. It is renowned for its massive bas-relief carving, the largest of its kind in the world, depicting three Confederate leaders: Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson. The mountain is part of Stone Mountain Park, a popular recreational area that includes hiking trails, a scenic railroad, and a cable car ride to the summit, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
