Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, Oman, is a magnificent example of Islamic architecture and a key landmark in the country. Completed in 2001, the mosque was a gift to the nation from Sultan Qaboos to mark his 30th year of reign. It features a stunning central prayer hall that can accommodate over 6,500 worshippers, with an adjoining women's prayer hall. The mosque's interior is adorned with elaborate mosaics, intricate woodwork, and a massive Persian carpet that was once the largest in the world. The mosque also boasts a grand chandelier, which is one of the largest in existence. The surrounding gardens and courtyards provide a serene environment for reflection and prayer.
