Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, located in the historic town of Mtskheta, Georgia, is a masterpiece of Georgian medieval architecture and one of the most significant religious buildings in the country. Built in the 11th century, the cathedral is renowned for its impressive size, intricate stone carvings, and its central role in the spiritual life of Georgia. The name "Svetitskhoveli" translates to "The Life-Giving Pillar," a reference to the legend that Christ's robe is buried beneath the cathedral. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994, reflecting its cultural and historical importance.
