Tampere City Library, known locally as Tampereen kaupunginkirjasto, serves as a central hub of knowledge and culture in the city of Tampere, Finland. The main library, Metso, is architecturally distinctive, resembling the shape of a capercaillie bird. Designed by architects Reima and Raili Pietilä, the building was completed in 1986 and has since become a landmark in the city.
