Tel Hazor, located in northern Israel, is one of the most significant archaeological sites in the country. The site, which spans over 200 acres, has yielded a wealth of artifacts and structures, including temples, palaces, and fortifications. Hazor is frequently mentioned in ancient texts, including the Bible, where it is noted for its conquest by Joshua. Excavations have uncovered layers of occupation, providing insights into the region's history and the various cultures that thrived there.
