The Timișoara Orthodox Cathedral, also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral, is a prominent religious and architectural landmark in Timișoara, Romania. Consecrated in 1946, the cathedral is dedicated to the Three Holy Hierarchs: Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom. It stands out for its distinctive Moldavian architectural style, characterized by a blend of Byzantine and Gothic elements, and is adorned with seven towers, the tallest reaching 83.7 meters, making it one of the tallest churches in Romania. Inside, the cathedral houses a collection of valuable religious artifacts, frescoes, and a crypt containing the remains of notable figures from the church's history.
