U Bein Bridge in Amarapura, Myanmar, is a historic teakwood bridge that spans approximately 1.2 kilometers (0.75 miles) across Taungthaman Lake. Constructed around 1850, it is considered one of the oldest and longest teakwood bridges in the world. The bridge was built using timber reclaimed from the former royal palace in Inwa, which was dismantled when the capital was moved to Amarapura.
