Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka is a renowned wildlife sanctuary, famous for its large population of Sri Lankan elephants. Spanning approximately 308 square kilometers, the park offers diverse habitats, including grasslands, forests, and wetlands, which support a variety of animal species such as leopards, water buffalo, and numerous bird species. Established in 1972, it also features the Udawalawe Reservoir, which provides a scenic backdrop and a crucial water source for wildlife.
