Undavalli Caves, located near Vijayawada in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, are a remarkable example of ancient rock-cut architecture. These caves date back to the 4th-5th century and are associated with the Vishnukundina dynasty. The most prominent among the caves is a four-storey structure that houses a large monolithic statue of Lord Vishnu in a reclining posture, sculpted from a single granite block. The intricate carvings and fine craftsmanship reflect the skill and artistry of the period.
