Completed in 1887, it was designed by the architect Herman Teodor Holmgren in the neo-Renaissance style. The hall serves as a central hub for academic activities and ceremonies, including lectures, examinations, and official university events. Its magnificent auditorium, adorned with splendid frescoes and ornate decorations, has a seating capacity of around 1,800.
