The Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Centre (VIRAC) in Latvia is a prominent facility dedicated to radio astronomy and space research. Located near the town of Ventspils, VIRAC is equipped with two large radio telescopes, RT-32 and RT-16, which have been instrumental in various astronomical observations and scientific studies. The centre was originally established during the Soviet era and has since evolved into a significant research institution, contributing to both national and international scientific projects.
