The Viscri Fortified Church, located in the village of Viscri in Romania, is a remarkable example of Transylvanian Saxon architecture. Originally built in the 12th century, the church was later fortified in the 15th century to protect the local community from invasions. The church complex includes a defensive wall, towers, and a bastion. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site designated as the "Villages with Fortified Churches in Transylvania." The church is renowned for its well-preserved medieval frescoes, wooden pews, and a unique blend of Romanesque and Gothic elements.
