Established in the late 13th century by King Mangrai, this temple is renowned for its ancient tunnels and large, tranquil grounds. The temple complex features a network of underground passages adorned with Buddhist murals and inscriptions, which offer a meditative and introspective experience for visitors. Wat Umong also houses a large, serene pond where visitors can feed the fish and turtles.
