The World Museum of Mining in Butte, Montana, USA, is an open-air museum dedicated to preserving the rich history of mining and the lives of those who worked in the industry. Established in 1963, the museum is situated on the site of the Orphan Girl Mine, a former silver and zinc mine. Visitors can explore a recreated 1890s mining town, complete with over 50 buildings, including a schoolhouse, general store, and miner's homes. The museum also offers underground mine tours, giving guests a firsthand experience of what it was like to work in the mines.
