Žilina is a city in northwestern Slovakia, situated at the confluence of the Váh, Kysuca, and Rajčanka rivers. It is the fourth largest city in Slovakia and serves as an important industrial, commercial, and cultural hub. Surrounded by the picturesque Malá Fatra mountains, Žilina offers a mix of historical architecture, including the Gothic St. Stephen's Church and the Baroque Church of the Holy Trinity. The city is also home to the University of Žilina, which is a key center for education and research in the region.
