Best time to visit Dhigurah:

The best time to visit the Maldives is during the dry northeast monsoon season, which typically runs from November to April. This period offers the most favorable weather conditions for a Maldives vacation. Here's what you can expect during these months:

December to April (Northeast Monsoon):

  • Weather: These months are characterized by sunny days, clear skies, and minimal rainfall. The weather is warm and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C (77°F to 90°F).
  • Sea Conditions: The sea is calm and ideal for water sports, snorkeling, and diving. The visibility underwater is excellent, making it an excellent time for exploring the vibrant marine life and coral reefs.

May to October (Southwest Monsoon):

  • Weather: This period is the wet southwest monsoon season. It is characterized by increased rainfall, higher humidity, and occasional storms. Temperatures remain warm, but the weather can be unpredictable.
  • Sea Conditions: The sea can be rough during this season, making water activities less enjoyable. However, some surfers prefer this time for riding the waves.

While the northeast monsoon season is generally the best time to visit the Maldives, it's also the peak tourist season, so you can expect higher prices and more significant crowds. If you prefer a quieter and more budget-friendly experience, you might consider visiting during the shoulder months of November or April when the weather is still pleasant, and the crowds are thinner.

Transportation

Transportation in the Maldives primarily relies on boats, seaplanes, and domestic flights.

Ferries are the most affordable option, but are slow and schedules may be uncomfortable. Speedboats are a much faster option, but are more expensive.
Seaplanes and domestic flights are the quickest and most comfortable option, but are by far the most expensive. They are, however, necessary to reach the farthest islands.

Note that since Friday is a day off in the Maldives, transportation options will be severely limited. Most public ferries and speedboats do not operate on Fridays.
Always contact your accommodation provider for details on transportation.
