Rainy Season (June to September): Eastern Ethiopia experiences its main rainy season during these months. While the landscape becomes lush and green, travel can be more challenging due to heavy rainfall, muddy roads, and potential flooding. However, this season might offer unique opportunities for birdwatching and witnessing the region's natural beauty.

Short Rainy Season (March to May): This period sees a shorter rainy season, often referred to as the "belg." It might have lighter rains compared to the main rainy season, but some parts of Eastern Ethiopia might still experience showers. It's a transition period before the drier months.
