Pendennis Castle, located in Falmouth, United Kingdom, is an impressive artillery fort constructed by order of King Henry VIII between 1540 and 1542. It was built to defend the country from potential invasions by France and the Holy Roman Empire. The castle played a significant role throughout English history, including during the English Civil War when it was one of the last Royalist strongholds to fall.
