April to September (Yala Monsoon Season):

• During these months, the east coast experiences dry and sunny weather, making it an excellent time to explore places like Trincomalee, Arugam Bay, and Batticaloa.
• The Cultural Triangle, which includes Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, and Polonnaruwa, is also worth exploring during this period.

May to August (Intermonsoon Season):

• This is a transitional period with sporadic rainfall. While it's not the peak season, it's a good time to visit various regions with fewer tourists and lower prices.
• It's also the time when the Kandy Esala Perahera, one of Sri Lanka's most important festivals, takes place.

September to November (Northeast Monsoon Season):

• During these months, the northeast experiences heavy rainfall. The Cultural Triangle and central highlands are still accessible but may have occasional rain.
• The surf season on the west and south coasts starts around October, making it a good time for surfers.
