Jammu and Kashmir

Kashmir Valley (Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam):

• Summer (April to June): Summers are pleasant, with daytime temperatures ranging from 15-30°C (59-86°F). It's an excellent time for tourism, especially in the picturesque Kashmir Valley.
• Monsoon (July to September): The Kashmir Valley receives moderate rainfall during this time, which adds to the lush greenery. However, occasional heavy rains might occur.
• Autumn (October to November): Autumn in Kashmir is enchanting with the famous golden hue of Chinar trees. The weather remains pleasant with temperatures ranging from 10-25°C (50-77°F).
• Winter (December to March): Winters are cold, and the valley often experiences heavy snowfall, especially in higher regions. Daytime temperatures range from 0-15°C (32-59°F), and nights can be extremely cold.

Jammu (Jammu City, Katra):

• Summer (April to June): Summers are hot, with temperatures ranging from 30-40°C (86-104°F) in the plains of Jammu.
• Monsoon (July to September): Jammu experiences rainfall during the monsoon season, bringing relief from the heat.
• Autumn (October to November): The weather becomes pleasant with temperatures ranging from 20-30°C (68-86°F).
• Winter (December to March): Winters are mild in the plains, but higher elevations might experience cooler temperatures.
