Boyoma Falls, also known as Wagenia Falls, is a series of cataracts located on the Lualaba River near the city of Kisangani in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The falls stretch over approximately 100 kilometers and consist of seven major cascades, dropping a total of about 61 meters. They are named after the Wagenia fishermen who have ingeniously adapted to the powerful currents by constructing wooden fishing traps.
