This period is optimal for exploring places like Gombe Stream National Park and Mahale Mountains National Park for chimpanzee trekking and enjoying Lake Tanganyika.

Short Rainy Season (November to December): This period experiences short rains, which are typically less intense compared to the main rainy season. Travel is still feasible during these months, and it's a transitional period between the dry and wet seasons.

Long Rainy Season (March to May): The main rainy season occurs during these months. Rainfall can be heavy and continuous, leading to lush green landscapes but also making some areas inaccessible due to muddy roads.
