Murghob is a high-altitude town situated in the eastern part of Tajikistan, within the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. It is located at an elevation of around 3,650 meters (11,975 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest towns in the former Soviet Union. Murghob serves as a vital hub for travelers exploring the Pamir Mountains, often referred to as the "Roof of the World."
