The Three Gorges Dam, located in Sandouping, China, is the world's largest hydroelectric power station by installed capacity. Spanning the Yangtze River, the dam is a monumental feat of engineering, stretching about 2,335 meters (7,660 feet) in length and standing 185 meters (607 feet) tall.
