Árbol del Tule, located in the town of Santa María del Tule, Oaxaca, Mexico, is a remarkable Montezuma cypress (Taxodium mucronatum) renowned for its massive trunk. Often considered the tree with the stoutest trunk in the world, its circumference measures over 42 meters (138 feet) and its diameter is about 14 meters (46 feet). Estimated to be around 1,500 to 3,000 years old, the Árbol del Tule is not only a natural wonder but also a cultural and historical landmark, deeply rooted in the local Zapotec community's traditions and lore.
