Best time to visit Xinjiang:

Northern Xinjiang (Altay Mountains and Junggar Basin):

  • Spring (March to May): Spring is cool, with temperatures ranging from 5-20°C (41-68°F). It's a season of melting snow and budding vegetation.
  • Summer (June to August): Summers are warm to hot, with temperatures between 20-30°C (68-86°F). It's relatively dry with occasional rainfall.
