Northern Xinjiang (Altay Mountains and Junggar Basin):

Spring (March to May): Spring is cool, with temperatures ranging from 5-20°C (41-68°F). It's a season of melting snow and budding vegetation.
Summer (June to August): Summers are warm to hot, with temperatures between 20-30°C (68-86°F). It's relatively dry with occasional rainfall.
Autumn (September to November): Autumn is cool and comfortable, with temperatures ranging from 5-20°C (41-68°F). It's a pleasant season with clear skies.
Winter (December to February): Winters are cold, with daytime temperatures often below freezing and nights significantly colder. Snowfall is common.

Southern Xinjiang (Taklamakan Desert and Tarim Basin):

Spring and Autumn: These seasons have milder temperatures due to desert climates, with spring temperatures between 15-25°C (59-77°F).
Summer: Summers are hot and dry, with temperatures often exceeding 40°C (104°F) in desert areas.
Winter: Winters are cool during the day but can be extremely cold at night, occasionally dropping below freezing.
