13 April - 15 April

The Songkran Festival is a vibrant and joyful celebration marking the traditional Thai New Year. Observed annually in mid-April, this lively festival is renowned for its exuberant water fights, where locals and tourists alike take to the streets armed with water guns and buckets to splash water on each other, symbolizing the washing away of the past year's misfortunes and welcoming the new year with a fresh start. Alongside the water festivities, Songkran is also a time for family reunions, paying respects to elders, and engaging in religious rituals at temples.
