Xunantunich is an ancient Maya archaeological site located in western Belize, near the border with Guatemala. The name Xunantunich means "Stone Woman" in the Maya language, and the site is known for its impressive structures and historical significance. One of the most notable features is the pyramid known as "El Castillo," which stands approximately 130 feet tall and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The site served as a major ceremonial center during the Late and Terminal Classic periods of Maya civilization, around 600 to 900 AD.
